Wearable art with a touch of whimsy!
Heather Bell Designs’ focus is to enhance lives by creating designs of beautiful color and composition. Each piece is an original painting on silk. Bold colors and playful designs are translated into basic garments in simple, easy-wear styles with no fuss.
Heather Bell Kidson received her degree in Textile Design from the Ontario College of Art, Toronto, Ontario. She also studied in Vienna, Austria under the tutelage of Josef Schulz in his Atelier weaving Goblin tapestries. Upon graduating, she moved to Manhattan where she worked as an apprentice in the studio of Michele Lester weaving tapestries.
In 1989, Heather began exhibiting full time at art festivals. She continues to travel through- out America exhibiting her hand-painted silk wearables.
