A fishy Tale and Rock Star

Kelly Darling, an elementary school teacher wrote A Fishy Tale and Rock Star! while teaching science to her elementary school aged children. Kelly felt there was a need for factual, fun to read books for her students. Her first book, A Fishy Tale was published in 2014 and Rock Star! soon followed.​ Kelly lives in the Boston area with her husband and two sons. She continues to teach and enjoys her summers on Cape Cod.

Ginger lives and works in Natick, MA. In addition to illustration, Ginger is also a watercolor painter, jewelry-maker and mixed-media artist. Ginger is one of the original founders of Five Crows in 2001 and has continued through the years as one of the owner/artists of the shop.

Kelly and Ginger met while teaching​​​​ science and art respectively in an elementary school in the Boston area. Becoming fast fiends they collaborated on both books.
