Roughly a Cup is a multigenerational family cookbook with recipes, stories, and photos. You’ll find over 200 recipes for eating, cleaning, and the occasional science project. Recipes are identified by generation so that it’s easy to find a fifth- or first-Generation cookie. Not everyone has the benefit of having older generations’ recipes in their families — so, now you have a fourth Generation Pumpkin Pie recipe, complete with Great Grandma’s secret ingredient!
Mischelle created the book by combining genealogical research, interviews with family nonagenarians, family photos from eight family lines, and recipes from six generations. Roughly a Cup is meant to inspire connections to family and appreciation for the abundance of life lessons passed down through our family’s kitchen hearts. Mischelle is a graduate of Tufts University with a Master’s in Public Policy. She’s also the owner of Schelle’s Shells and makes mixed media seashell art. She lives in a picturesque seaside Massachusetts town and makes frequent trips to her home state of West Virginia.
